Spur of the Moment Outing 12/2

The Mount Laurel Living Nativity is a live production with 13 walk-through, outdoor scenes and 200 cast and crew each night. Learn more.

OWLS Luncheon 12/7 2pm

 Annual holiday luncheon in the library catered by Georgetti’s Market & Catering in Cinnaminson. Appetizers, desserts & our famous punch will be supplied by the committee. Cost is $12 a person. Pat Hall & Ruth Fasuak are planning something fun.

Adult Forum 12/10 9:15am

On December 10th at 9:15 am plan to attend an Adult Forum in the Library for a presentation by the Stephen Ministry Team who will explain and model the work of Stephen Ministry in our church

Family Advent Craft Night & Light Supper 12/10 4-6pm

Crafts for all ages, some more challenging than others. Samples of some of the crafts will be displayed in the Narthex in the coming weeks. The event includes a light supper and singing some of our favorite Christmas songs.

Contemplative Prayer Group 12/13 7pm

Pastor Eric continues the new contemplative prayer group, focused particularly on centering prayer, a form of prayer based in silence and clearing out one’s thoughts in order to be encountered by grace. Learn more.

Christmas Pageant & Sanctuary Decorating 12/17 9:30am

For many years, we have all worked together to decorate the church for Christmas. This year our decorating begins as part of the Sunday Church School program on December 17th.

Greening of the Sanctuary 12/22 9:30am

Add holly to the candle poles, make Christmas baskets and bring in poinsettias. Be a part of the crew as we prepare our sanctuary for Christmas Eve. We will also need holly for the candle poles and it’s a great time to trim your trees!

First Sunday of Christmas with readings & carols 12/31

Walnut Street Theater Cabaret at SMLC 1/13

Three of the stars of Walnut Street theater will be performing at Saint Matthew. Wine and hors d’oeuvres provided by the theater. Adult only event was a gift to us from one of our members.

Ministerium Martin Luther King Jr. Day Worship 1/14

 The Moorestown Ministerium will again be holding a worship service together for the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. It will be held in the afternoon of Sunday, Jan. 14 at First Presbyterian Church.

Adult Forum 1/21 9:15am

We will be looking at the draft ELCA Social Message on Gun-Related Violence and Trauma at the Adult Forum on Sunday January 21. The ELCA is accepting feedback until Jan. 31, and so this is an opportunity to discuss the draft version together in time to submit feedback to the writing team.

Trip to Philadelphia Museum of Art 2/4

We will be heading to the Philadelphia Museum of Art with Peter Jensen to see an exhibit titled: “Of God and Country.” American Art from the Jill and Sheldon Bonotz Collection. The first Sunday of the month is pay as you wish day.
