Dialogue on Anti-Racism: Tuesday, March 2, 7PM & March 16, 7PM

In early February, we held our fifth of six “Freed in Christ Workshops” – that are an opportunity for participants to examine and discuss the ELCA Social Statement on Antiracism. During the workshops we seek to understand as individuals and as a church, how we can fulfill our baptismal promise to become truly open and welcoming to all of God’s children. On March 2 we will have our last workshop. We will start to consider how we might modify the workshop for larger groups.
On February 16 we hosted our monthly meeting that is open to all members of the congregation. During that session we had a lively discussion with a diverse group about racism. We will continue that conversation March 16. The goal of the group is to better understand what racism is and how it appears in our local communities. Our intention is to help each of us grow in our baptismal promise and love one another. Some who attend are curious. Others are uncomfortable. Some are ready to talk and learn, others come to be still. None of us are experts or think we have “the answer.” We bring our honest thoughts and questions. OWLS to Meet Pastor Eric Trozzo: Thurs., March 4, Noon

Adult Fellowship Time: Sat., March 20, 7-9PM
Plans are still being made for this time of lighthearted adult fellowship. With Saint Patrick’s Day so close, we will be starting with a Green theme and finding that little bit o’ Irish in all of us. More details to come.
