DEI Ministry Meeting: Sunday, August 3

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Ministry is updating its annual Monthly Emphases and would love your input. Join us for the next meeting on August 3 after worship in the library. For questions, contact Pat Covington or Barbara Duffy.

NJ Synod Beach Day: Saturday, August 9

The Youth Ministry Mission Team invites you to our BEACH DAY—a day of sun, sand, and fellowship on Saturday, August 9th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Island Beach State Park (rain date August 16th). This event is open to all ages. Let’s unwind, relax, and connect with each other at the beach! Learn more.

Jersey Shore Blue Claws Baseball Game: Saturday, August 16, 2025

Join us on a road trip to Wilmington’s Frawley Stadium to see the Wilmington Blue Rocks play the Jersey Shore Blue Claws. The game begins at 6 p.m. The first 1000 people through the gates receive a floppy hat. Tickets are $16 each (parking is free) and are on sale in the narthex after worship. Special Hymn Sing: Sunday, August 17

Join us for a joyful celebration of music during the 9:30 AM worship service on Sunday, August 17. We’ll sing the congregation’s most-submitted favorites—and throughout August, we’ll include many of the other cherished hymns you shared. Come, let us make a joyful noise together!

“God’s work. Our hands.” Collection: September 1 – October 12

Our dedicated project for this year will be a special collection to benefit Bridge of Peace Community Church. Specific items needed include: toilet paper, sanitary pads, shampoo/conditioner in smaller containers, bars of Dove Soap, shelf-stable milk, macaroni and cheese, and microwavable macaroni and cheese.

Fall Kick-Off Sunday: September 7, 2025

Join us for a big day as we kick off the fall season! Starting Sunday, September 7, we return to our two-service format: 8:30 AM (Worship with spoken liturgy) and 10:30 AM (Worship with sung liturgy and choir).

We will also launch the Season of Creation, with this year’s theme: “Peace with Creation.”

It’s also the First Day of Sunday School, and we’ll celebrate with a Fall Picnic. On this day we will also dedicate our new Accessibility Addition and honor all those who worked so hard for this to become a reality. More info will be coming.

We’ll host “Back to Church Night” where all ministries are invited to meet in the library (or on Zoom) to share key plans for the coming year.

Community Event: Hops Against Homelessness

The Moorestown Community House is excited to host Hops Against Homelessness at Lower Forge Brewery in Medford on Saturday, September 13 from noon to 4 p.m. This free event features a special beer/seltzer with a portion of proceeds going directly to Family Promise of Burlington County. They will also be collecting much-needed items the week of Sept 8 -13. Learn more.


Community Open House: Sunday, October 12

To celebrate with thanksgiving our new Accessibility Addition, we are having an open house for the community of Moorestown from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. There will be live music provided by DJ Blake, food, and tours of our building. Mark your calendars!
