We are coming off a winter that was not too severe. Despite relatively mild weather our attendance was negatively impacted on at least two Sundays. It is worth noting that on those reduced attendance Sundays the offering was also greatly reduced.
Offerings of families who signed up for SIMPLY GIVING or another form of electronic donation were not affected by the
weather. Their offerings were received even if the families were not in attendance, and therefore, they helped maintain a healthy cash flow for meeting the obligations of the congregation.
With summer approaching and many of us on vacation, if we aren’t signed up for electronic donations, there will be further difficulties for our treasurer as he strives to meet the financial obligations of the church.
Our request is simple: please sign-up for some form of automatic electronic giving. The process for using SIMPLY GIVING is available on our website. This SIMPLY GIVING program accommodates recurring donations and also one-time donations such as those to the Memorial Fund, World Hunger and special Holy days.
