Thanksgiving Greetings from CLF!

There is so much going on in the Christian Learning and Formation Ministry! There was an Affirmation of Baptism on October 29. Congratulations to the Schoenberger family on Kyle and Madeline’s Confirmation.

Our new Confirmation class is under way, and has been well attended and received by parents. The next two classes are scheduled for 4-6 p.m. on November 12th and December 3rd. Pastor is looking for any individuals, who would like to help facilitate parent conversations during these meetings. Please let him know if you are interested. Special thanks to Rev. Peggy Marks and Jeffery Blanford for already leading some great discussions.

On Nov. 19 at 9:15 a.m., our next Adult Forum will be a presentation on the Moorestown Ministerium Food Pantry. Join us in the library.

We have had a blast in Sunday School since we kicked off on Saint Matthew Day back in September. Some of our activities have included making Super-Hero costume cuffs, a science experiment with soda cans, and playing Super-Hero relay games (see photos below). Joining us at the beginning of Sunday School every week, Pastor taught us the song “Our God is an Awesome God” and the kiddos have created gestures to go with the song.

Our Christmas Pageant will be here before we know it! We will begin to prepare for the pageant on November 19 with our Music Sunday. If your child(ren) would like to be a part of the presentation this year, please let Costantino know: families@stmatthew-lutheran.org.

In case you didn’t know, our Sunday School offering supports two very important Missions: Farmer’s Against Hunger, & ELCA Global Mission. To encourage our kiddos (and their parents) to remember their offerings, we have made a “Mission Milk Jug” to put our loose change in! If we can fill it with loose offerings by our Christmas Pageant, the CLF will provide the class with a special treat! So check the couch cushions and the crevices in the cars; our mission partners will greatly appreciate it.

May God Bless you and your family,

Melissa Feeney CLF Chairperson
