Thank you to all who actively participated in the 2023 Season of Creation

Green Team

“Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43: 19)

As the 2023 Season of Creation comes to a close, we acknowledge all in our congregation who “Lived the Love” in active participation and celebration of God in creation:

  • Property Committee for the careful protection and preservation of the Pollinator Garden during driveway construction;
  • Worship Committee for opening windows during worship service, so that we might experience God in creation through the air we breathe;
  • Fellowship & Congregational Care for “greening” the church picnic through meatless food options and compostable tablecloths, plates, and napkins;
  • Carmen von Wrangell for the remarkable alter arrangements recognizing each of this year’s Sunday themes: Ocean, Land, Forest, and River;
  • Pastor Eric, Council, and Worship & Music for integrating the Season of Creation into our annual worship calendar, as part of our congregational commitment to care for creation.

We ask and encourage each congregation member to keep the spirit of the Season of Creation close in your daily life throughout the year, as we seek to fulfill our mission as stewards of God’s creation which sustains us.
