Thank you so much for the generous gift for Clergy Appreciation Month. I was truly surprised and touched to receive it. My deepest appreciation to the whole congregation. Many thanks.

From the Frable Family

Dearest church family,

Jana, Katelyn, Nathan and I sincerely appreciate how your loving arms, words and deeds are carrying us through this deep valley we’ve been in since late October. Mae Alford’s diagnosis, steep decline and death was unexpected to say the least.

Mae AlfordShe was a mother and grandmother to us, and she was a friend to many of you. Even before she moved up here from Houston five years ago, she had become a familiar face at worship and OWLS events. Soon after Nate and Kate were born, she essentially split her residency between our house and hers in Texas in order to help a couple first-time parents keep their heads above water.

We were thrilled when she told us she wanted to live closer to us permanently. On the week of her actual move, she took one of the very last flights out of Houston Hobby airport as Hurricane Harvey bore down on the southeast Texas coast. Remember that one? It dumped 3-1/2 FEET of rain as it sat over that region for days ! Well, she made it up here just fine, but we were afraid all her belongings had been lost. Fortunately, we managed to get everything delivered to NJ and helped her settle in her brand new home in Medford. (A special “shout out” to Dick and Alice Graybill for that referral!) We have been blessed to have her as an integral part of our family’s daily lives.

Immediately following her sudden death, you—dear sisters and brothers in Christ—have quite literally fed us, held us, and filled-in for us without hesitation. We thank God for the meals you organized, prepared and delivered. We thank God for all you did for Mae’s funeral services and reception. We thank you for your thoughtful condolences. We are hurting, deeply, but we remain thankful for so much.

With fondest affection,

Max (Jana, Katelyn and Nathan) Frable

Thank you to everyone who donated food, time, and transportation to providing more than 60 bags or boxes of Thanksgiving dinner to Bridge of Peace in Camden. Thank you, as well, to the Campbell family for hosting this year’s food drive.

We also collected—and are still collecting—food for our food pantry and the Lunch Bunch Ministry.

Scout troops that use our church also participated in this year’s food drive.
