It should be a great event. Please consider and mark your calendar.
All classes are in-person. If you are unable to attend, Pastor Eric will make a recording covering the same material. You will need to watch the video and complete the quiz on it. You will be given a Lent calendar with a daily Bible verse. It is geared towards youth. Please post it and read the verse each day. We hope that we will be able to have an in-person mentor dinner. If not, then it will be a Zoom meeting. The decision will be made in early May. Worship response sheets are do to Pastor Eric by May 1. You are required to do two. So far, Pastor has only received one. Even if you are not in worship in person, St. Matthew’s services are archived on our Youtube channel and remain there afterwards. Everyone is asked to write a response to the Maundy Thursday service, whether you are there in person or not. If you have not written another response, chose a Sunday service between now and the last Sunday in April.
First Communion instruction will hopefully be held later this spring. We are so happy to resume in-person Christian education for all of our Youth!
There was a youth service project in February, working with Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey’s Caring for our Elders program. Seven youth attended, painting suncatchers as gifts to seniors.
