We have both regulars and new clients who are served by the Food Pantry at St Matthew. Our regulars come weekly and count on our donations. They are grateful for the generosity shown by our community and excited when we can put out special items and they can “shop.” We’ve also been able to steer them to other needed resources, especially during COVID.
New clients come for help to get them over a hump. One of the lawn service men, lunching in the parking lot, stopped by last week. We found he had two children and was the sole parent and is struggling. It felt good to be able to add extra goodies for the kids to his bags.
The generosity of the people of St. Matthew and of our community makes real differences in these lives.
