Sunday, October 27 at 11:30 following the 10:30 service, St. Matthew Lutheran Church held a ground breaking ceremony for its newest building addition at 318 Chester Avenue.
St Matthew Lutheran Church held a groundbreaking on Sunday for its newest building addition, which will provide additional storage spaces for those preparing for services, and accessible family bathrooms adjacent to the church sanctuary on the same floor as several meting rooms. The project is expected to be completed by the spring. After a brief prayer service by Pastor Trozzo, members of the congregation and visitors also had an opportunity to ceremonially shovel.

Pastor Eric Trozzo will lead the ceremony accompanied by Architect David Barger, Building Supervisor Max Frable, Church Council President Heather Lerch, and Property Chair Steve Cathcart. Congregation and community members will have an opportunity to ceremonially shovel following a short ceremony.
The new addition will provide St. Matthew with accessible family bathrooms adjacent to the church sanctuary on the same floor as several meeting rooms. The addition will also provide space for the those preparing the church for services. The project is expected to be completed in the spring.

St Matthew Lutheran Church of Moorestown Township, New Jersey, is a diverse community of disciples reaching out through Christ in loving worship, witness and service. Founded in 1950, the church is led by Rev Dr. Eric J. Trozzo. Worship services are held on Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. St Matthew is also home to several non-profit and scouting organizations.
