Plan for Peace

Social Ministry is working on developing tools to help us answer our call as baptized Christians to seek justice and peace. We are crafting a statement and creating a plan for addressing racism. Moorestown Food Pantry

OPEN every Monday (12-2pm & 5-7pm)
The pantry will accept food donations every Friday (9-11am)
Our community and churches have been very generous with donations.
This summer, families will be distributing the food bags since they can commingle easier in the hallways. Other volunteers work individually in the pantry in order to maintain safe physical distance. Your donations, large and small, are always appreciated. We are blessed. For monetary donations, please make your check payable to St. Matthew, with “Moorestown Food Pantry,” in memo.

Lunch Bunch

As we all know, hunger never takes a vacation, especially in the midst of a pandemic. However, the Lunch Bunch is doing its best to help meet the needs at Cathedral Kitchen in Camden. Due to all the confusion and self-quarantining associated with the COVID-19 situation, the Lunch Bunch did not meet in April. Nevertheless, on May 28th there was a special time scheduled where two groups came in to prepare sandwiches. Given the special circumstances, we did everything necessary to follow safety guidelines for those faithful food disciples. Many thanks to Judy J and the Malinowski Family for their food preparation efforts and to Dave Frech for delivering the food the next day in time for their afternoon distribution. We’re hoping to have another special session on our regularly scheduled event on July 9th.We also thank you for your prayerful and financial support of this ministry which has been serving our neighbors for almost 20 years now. Thank you and God bless you. —Deacon Bill
