Ways to Serve Our Local Community

There are a number of ways that needs in our local community can be met.

ExCELS Program Snack Collection June 3-17

It is our turn to provide afternoon snacks for children using the Moorestown Recreation Center’s ExCELS after school program, and whose families are unable to provide these treats. Wrapped, healthy snack bars are most useful. Places like Costco and BJ’s provide some economical choices.

Look for the collection bin and the cartoon of the ―ExCELS Kids beginning June 3rd. Final day for collection is June 17th. Our minimum goal is 250 bars. Last collection we exceeded that, and the Center was very happy to except the extras. Thank you for supporting this much-needed program.

Many Ways to Help Local People In Financial Need

The Moorestown Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP), in conjunction with the Moorestown Ministerium, is looking for volunteers.

You can participate in many ways including being trained for home visits or doing administrative tasks behind the scenes. Home visit volunteers are trained to provide compassionate and spiritual understanding, advice, and assistance. Moorestown Ministerium congregations agreed to recruit volunteers and have expressed gratitude for SVdP’s experience, structure and knowledge. To volunteer, contact Deacon Bill or Pastor Ingrid.

People needing financial help should call the hotline 856-291-7313.
