Property Update May 2021

Property has conducted two meetings for those members who are health confident. Four and five members have attended, respectively. All health protocols were followed. Activities over the past two weeks included unpacking the fountain in the Memorial Garden, repairing the tall a-frame ladder, changing and re-aiming the choir loft lights illuminating the He Lives sign, repairing the base of the wooden cross, checking all the batteries in the smoke detectors, inspecting the apartment and the monthly emergency light inspection. In addition, the window covers were removed from the air conditioners, the air conditioners in Fellowship Hall and the choir room were re-installed and tested. The sprinkler system in the Memorial Garden has been turned on and tested.

Property Committee

In the coming weeks we will change the filters and belts in the Sanctuary and Shockey Lounge roof AC units. We have identified areas of the parking lot to be re-striped and curb areas needing yellow paint will be addressed. We will hold off replacing tools for the time being until our finances are better known later in the year.

Finally, we made a presentation noting the progress made on capital projects via Zoom in Adult Forum. —Charlie Lange, chair
