We Need YOU To Host One Dinner
October 16-22, 6PM
Many of you do sign up to serve for dinners. We do need more of you. St. Matthew hosts homeless families about four times per year for one week Sunday – Saturday. All meals are provided; having dinner with families is a blessing to both the servers and the receivers.
If you sign up to provide dinner your service can be easier than pie. You can simply show up at 6pm with enough pizza pie for everyone, or KFC, Burger King or any place you know has take out food that kids love to eat. You will know how many families will be here for dinner.
Did you know you can donate gift cards? The favorite local place is Passiarellos Pizza; our IHN families can walk there or you can call for delivery; their pizza, cheesesteaks and wings are delicious!
For those of us who enjoy cooking, we have a kitchen you can use upstairs or you can pre-cook the meal and reheat and serve here. You can have a taco night, a chili night, spaghetti and meatballs, meatloaf night, fried chicken night, etc. If you have any questions, please ask Barry Grahn, IHN coordinator.
