Did You Say 500,000 Quilts?…
Lutheran World Relief (LWR) is challenging Lutherans across the U.S. to donate 500,000 quilts to send around the world to people in need. As we are focused with our own problems, Super Storm Sandy for example, LWR makes it possible for us to respond quickly and participate in supporting sisters and brothers around the globe in the need to rebuild.

No matter what the disaster, LWR mission quilts are one of the most requested items because of their versatility and durability—and what a symbol of God’s love and compassion. Are you willing and able to thread needles, tie knots, cut fabric, sew with a machine, or donate fabric? This challenge is a way of giving thanks to God. Each quilt is tied in faith, sent in hope, wrapped in love.
