Lenten & Easter Schedule 2023

Fastnacht

Feb 19 after 10:15 Worship

Join us after service for a fun filled afternoon as we celebrate Fastnacht. This year’s activities include a scavenger hunt in the town of Moorestown. The event will conclude with a meal of pizza with donuts for dessert. There will be signup sheets to create teams. The teams will take pictures or videos as they find the scavenger items. The pictures/videos will be shared as we join in our meal of pizza. We are looking for folks who have room in their cars for other participants to join their team.

Lent Devotional Booklets

This year our Lenten devotional booklets will be focused on the hymn “Amazing Grace.” We have two different booklets available: one aimed at adults and another aimed at children. Pick up a copy of one of them in the narthex and spent your season of Lent meditating on the message of that great hymn.

Palm Sunday Breakfast, Sunday, April 2, 2023

We are excited to have a breakfast once again during the Easter season. The big change is that we are having it on Palm Sunday. We hope this will allow folks who have been too busy on Easter Sunday to attend. We are blessed to have Kim and Joe Villani agree to lead this wonderful event. Please watch for details in upcoming Messengers and e-blasts.

Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 8, 2023

The third annual Saint Matthew Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday April 8. A fun activity for our children ages 1-thru and including 4th grade. Pastor Eric will be reading the Easter Story from that very special Bible called The Rhyme Story Bible. An Easter egg hunt will immediately follow. The event will not last more than 15-20 minutes. Hot coffee and tea will be provided for parents and adult guardians. The hunt is held in the grove. Reach out to Peggy Marks if you would like to volunteer, or if you have any questions.
