Summer Worship Schedule Begins June 1
Please note a key change in our service times for the summer months. From Sunday, June 1 through Sunday, August 31, our Sunday Worship Service will be held at one unified time: 9:30 a.m. We look forward to worshiping together during this beautiful season.
As we step into the warmth of summer, our community at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church is buzzing with activity and important moments of fellowship. Here’s a look at what’s happening in June and July 2025 as we embrace a new season together.
Welcome New Members
June is a month of wonderful recognitions. On June 1, there will be the joy of officially welcoming new members into the congregation. Please take a moment to extend a warm greeting and make them feel at home in the church family.
Congregational Ministry Meeting & Council Elections
All members are strongly encouraged to attend our congregational Ministry Meeting on Sunday, June 1, around 10:45 a.m., immediately following the worship service. This important gathering is where we move beyond the numbers and tell the story of our ministry over the past year, celebrating the ways we have responded to God’s love. We will also hold elections for five open positions on the congregational council, and your participation is vital as we select new leaders to guide us. For those who cannot attend in person, instructions for Zoom participation will be provided in our e-blasts. The 2025 Congregational Ministry Meeting Annual Report is now available for pickup in the narthex, offering a detailed look at our church’s life and work.
Celebrate Graduates
Later in the month, on June 22, time will be taken during the worship service to recognize and celebrate the high school graduates. This is a significant achievement for these young members, and the community is excited to honor their hard work and wish them well on their future journeys.
Save the Date: Blue Rocks Baseball Game on August 16!
Join us for a fantastic fellowship outing to the ballpark! We’re heading to Wilmington’s Frawley Stadium on Saturday, August 16, to watch the Wilmington Blue Rocks take on the Jersey Shore Blue Claws. This is a fun and affordable event for all ages.

Tickets go on sale the first Sunday in June in the Narthex. Look for the poster and sign-up table to reserve your spot
Time: 6:05 p.m. game time (gates open at 5:15 p.m.)
Cost: $16.00 per ticket, with free parking.
