Worship Theme: Light in the Darkness
The Big Picture
On this Third Sunday After Epiphany, the “light has dawned” for those in darkness. We move from the prophecy of Isaiah into the active ministry of Jesus.
Scripture Focus
Isaiah 9: A promise that the yoke of the burden will be broken and joy multiplied.
1 Corinthians 1: Paul’s appeal for unity: to be “knit together in the same mind.”
Matthew 4: Jesus calls his first disciples to leave their nets and follow him.
Music & Anthem
Featuring “Drawn to the Light” and “I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light.” The choir presents “In the Bleak Midwinter” by Holst/Causey.
