God Has Created Each of Us as Unique Individuals
A Message from Pat and Barbara Duffy
Clarifying Our Message
Pat and Barbara would like to clarify and continue the same message that we introduced in last month’s Messenger article.
We all share the same God and Savior. He/She has created each of us as unique individuals. We are hoping that you will feel drawn to sharing your life experiences so that we all can get to know one another better. We feel that learning about one another can give us a better sense of who we are and how we form opinions and habits.
We would also like to focus on challenges that effect our lives—such as mobility issues, problems with vision or hearing, dealing with illnesses, facing cultural differences, etc. As we hear about your lives, it may open new ways of thinking that are new and interesting and perhaps will help us to adapt to situations in our lives.

A New Opportunity for Connection
What we are suggesting is this: We could meet on occasion in the lounge after service, with a cup of coffee/ tea and a treat and someone could share about a particular topic for about 10 minutes. Those who have joined the group may want to ask questions to clarify what is being said or share their own stories.
Pat and Barbara would find the speakers. Opening opportunities for communication can only help us to become more compassionate toward one another and help us to become a closer community within and in the larger community.
“It is not our differences that divide us. It is the inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.”
— Audre Lorde
