Giving Thanks: Generous Donations and Community Support Make a Difference

Behind the Scenes: A Community Effort for Fellowship Hall

Thank you to Joe and Kim Villani for the generous donation of a new fireproof theater drapery in Fellowship Hall. The new addition will allow us to host other events in the future and, still, meet local and state fire code regulations for the drapery materials.

As well, thank you to the property team and everyone who helped to clear off the theater stage, improve storage accessibility, and prepare the room for the March 1st event. We donated five contractor bags of old blankets and towels to the special services unit in Burlington County where they would be donated to area shelters.

Look for photos from the event in the April newsletter.

Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge

Thank you for the contribution of $150. Donations are critical to our success, since we do not receive any government funding. Your support helps to maintain and grow Cedar Run’s capacity and to preserve New Jersey’s wildlife and habitats through education, conservation, and rehabilitation. Please know that you are supporting the busiest Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital in the tri-state region. You are also helping to educate the next generation of stewards of the land, air, water, and wildlife.

MEND

The Board of Trustees and staff of the Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development, Inc. (MEND) thank you for the very generous donation of $500. Your support of our residents helps us to promote the welfare of low and moderate-income individuals and families, including senior citizens and persons with disabilities, who do not possess the financial means to furnish themselves with a decent, safe and affordable home. Thank you for recognizing the importance of caring for those who live in affordable housing in southern New Jersey.

ELCA

Thank you for your generous gift of $1,500 to the ELCA Global Mission. Your support enables the ELCA to send missionaries, including Young Adults in Global Mission, to serve in over 40 countries. It provides scholarships to international women leaders responding to God’s call to ministry. And it funds investments in evangelism, education and church expansion.

Family Promise of Burlington County

Thank you for your donation of $2,000. Your support has been vital in helping us to continue our mission to change homelessness for families in Burlington County. During 2024 we were able to assist 35 families with rental support and emergency or transitional housing. This is an increase from the previous year. Yet, the need for housing continues to grow.
