Sunday School Insights

Wasn’t that a wonderful Christmas Program presented by the children on December 23rd during the Sunday school period? We thank God for Cantor Dave, the teachers and aides as well as the children and parents for all the effort and hard work they put forth for that event. Special thanks to Donna Yates of Lord of Life Lutheran Church for the loan of their costumes. And finally thanks to our FCC ministry for providing refreshments for all to share. It was a very special morning.

You may know that each year the Sunday school teachers – as part of this ministry – select one local and one global mission partner. We try to educate everyone regarding them and their work. Once again this year NJ Farmers Against Hunger was selected as out local mission partner and Young Adults in Global Mission, Senegal, West Africa was our global mission partner. All monies received from Sunday school and Adult Forum offerings go directly to support these two mission partners. In January we were able to send each of them a check for $604.65. This represents the money collected from the first week of Sunday school through the Christmas program offering. We thank God for your generosity toward these mission partners.

Finally, mark your calendars for Sunday, February 10th – that’s when we’re having the children “bring a friend or grandparent to Sunday School.” It’s been a fun event these last two years.
