June 8, 2024 Cross Roads Open House
Come and visit Cross Roads Camp & Retreat Center for one of our open houses this spring! Learn all about our summer and year-round opportunities. Take a tour of camp, hear stories about summer camp, ask questions of our staff, and finish with a delicious lunch in the dining hall.
These are especially great opportunities for families interested in sending their children to camp for the first time (or attending Family Camp together) or for retreat leaders interested in one of our many buildings that are open year-round. Tours start at 10:30 am from the Lodge and conclude after lunch at noon. Please register by June 3 at www.crossroadsretreat.com
Gardening Help Needed
Can You Spare an Hour?
Help is still need for weeding the Memorial Garden and other garden beds at St. Matthew this spring and summer. Carla and Ray Elberson are hosting a garden group on the second Tuesday of each month at 9 am to create a maintenance plan for the gardens. Bring gardening gloves, your water bottle, and any weeding tools you have. If you’d like to participate and can spare time to participate on other days and times, please contact Carla and Ray. They will work with your availability.
June Food Drive To benefit the Moorestown Ministerium Food Pantry
We’ll be filling the shelves for the Ministerium Food Pantry. This year the churches throughout town have agreed to hold food drives for various months of the year. Our first “Can We” campaign in March was very successful. We will be hosting our next food drive throughout June. We are hoping to fill our shelves with any non-perishable food items – canned, boxed, jarred, or bagged.
The pantry particularly needs the following: baked beans; fruit; peanut butter; jelly; cereal; canned pasta; pasta sauce; canned tomato products. All unexpired and nonperishable food items are welcome and appreciated. Thank you for helping us fill those shelves.
