We are excited to launch our long-awaited Accessibility Project.
Building permits have been approved and the General Contractor (“GC”) will start mobilizing on Monday, December 2. Here is what you can expect:
- The project will take approximately four months to complete. Please do not enter the worksite for any reason during this period. It’s fun to peek at work in progress, but for safety reasons we must stay out of the work zone.
- PLEASE NOTE: The north driveway of our parking lot (one-way exit) will be closed Monday through Friday. We are asking members and visitors to exit through the adjacent property to the South, behind the convenience store (known as the Hassinger property) or to park on Chester Avenue. During the week, the remaining parking area is to be used for church events and by the community groups.
- Our GC is M. Wilkinson Construction Company. David Barger Architects, Inc. is the architect of record. As well, Architect Max Frable is our owner representative, who will act as project manager and serve as the direct contact to the GC. Please address any questions you may have to Max.
- The GC has been busy behind the scenes working to secure our permits, coordinating with their subcontractors, scheduling various aspects of their work, ordering materials and equipment, etc. Initial activity outside will be installation of safety fencing, traffic cones, and preparation for demolition and excavation. Please respect all temporary barriers, signs and related instructions.
- You will soon notice in the narthex a temporary wall built near the mailboxes to isolate the area where the addition will connect (at the north entrance door).
