Christian Learning Update May 2021

Hope you all enjoyed the wonderful “Environmental Superheroes” presentation by Barbara Duffy and Lorraine Horton! I can share first-hand that they worked incredibly hard on the lesson— and it certainly showed! It was great to have Saint Matthew families fellowshipping together, while wearing their favorite superhero accessories! Thank you, Barbara and Lorraine, for teaching participants such valuable lessons about how we can help reduce waste, while making it fun!

CLF is also thankful for Cross Roads and Luther Crest for providing engaging and fun virtual Sunday School this year. Our last Sunday with them is May 9th. Thank you to all the families and children that participated; and a big thank you to teachers Kristine Butler, Meghan Camp-bell, Jana Frable, Peggy Marks and Audra Uhlig for giving their time and talents to make sure our children continued to hear God’s words!

There will be one more Sunday School session on May 16th – an opportunity to see our Saint Matthew children virtually one more time before summer, as well as a time to thank teachers for their service. We also want to make sure we give a big Thank You to Deacon Bill for his years of service to the Sunday School program at Saint Matthew. A zoom link will be sent soon. Please join us!

First Communion will take place on May 2nd for our 2nd graders, and a Mentor “Dinner” for our rising 9th graders will be held virtually May 19, 6:30pm.

God willing, we will see all of our Sunday School students in-person this September on Rally Day!
