The end of the 2022-2023 Sunday School year is upon us, as the last Sunday School session before we break for the summer will be May 21st. We had a great year with our new one-room school house model using the “Food Truck Party” theme. It was awesome to have all of our “Chefs” of all ages working and fellowshipping together.
Our older students were great help with our younger students. We did so many things this year, too many to remember! While always being reminded that God provides our daily bread, we cooked, we played games, did science experiments, made puppets, made Easter cards for the homebound, created and distributed food packages for the houseless in Philadelphia and Trenton, and brought back our annual Christmas Pageant!

We are grateful to all of the parents and grandparents that brought their children to Sunday School. We are grateful for the hiring of Costantino, who has had a major role in outreach to families, and planning and organizing Sunday School. We are grateful to Pastor Eric for joining us at the beginning of each Sunday to share Bible Stories and lead us in fun songs. Finally, a big thank you to our teachers, Meghan Campbell, Pat Covington, Melissa Feeney, Peggy Marks, and Audra Uhlig for dedicating so much time and talent to the youth of Saint Matthew.
Looking onto the summer months, Vacation Bible School survey responses from families have indicated that there is little demand for a VBS program this year. Instead families thought it would be fun to plan normal summer activities we all love and enjoy- picnics after worship, gatherings at parks and/or by a pool, etc. So be on the lookout for that information! It is our goal to partner with a local church for VBS in 2024.
CLF is still looking for someone to help Pastor Eric coordinate Adult Forum. This might sound like an intimidating “job”; but we are just looking for someone to schedule speakers/activities, and introduce topics. Please consider donating a small amount of your time to such an important part of our Church life.
Stay tuned over the summer months for information regarding any changes to the Worship, Sunday School, and Adult Forum schedules. We look forward to welcoming all the kiddos back to Sunday School in September!
Sincerely,
Melissa Feeney, CLF Chairperson
