CHRISTIAN LEARNING & FORMATION

“All people in Sunday School are required to wear masks”

Christmas Greetings from CLF!

In-Person Sunday School

2021 is quickly coming to a close. The last Children’s Chapel and Sunday School instruction will take place Sunday, Dec. 19. We will resume sessions on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022. Parents, please also note that in the case of inclement weather, your child’s Sunday School teacher may contact you and cancel Sunday School instruction for that day. The Sunday School, Children’s Chapel, Adult Forum, and Activity Time offerings support our mission partners NJ Farmers Against Hunger and Young Adults in Global Mission. We encourage you to send in offerings with your children. If your family needs envelopes, please ask a Sunday School teacher or Children’s Chapel leader.

Christmas Giving Tree

On November 14th during Activity Time, members of all ages met in the Fellowship Hall to decorate the tags for the Christmas Giving Tree. It is great to bring back this tradition of providing Christmas joy to approximately 70 children.

For those of you that are new to the church or just may not know, this service project benefits children receiving a variety of services from Oaks Integrated Care in Westampton.

Oaks Integrated Care was founded 50 years ago by a group of volunteers, and has grown into a private, nonprofit organization that impacts up to 34,000 lives a year! They are dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families struggling with mental illness, addiction or developmental disabilities. The organization offers over 230 health and social service programs throughout 19 counties in New Jersey. The ultimate goal of Oaks Integrated Care is designed to meet the needs of our communities with compassion; let’s continue the tradition of Saint Matthew supporting this mission.

Please consider taking a tag with a child’s name, age, and wish list from the tree in the narthex. It is also asked that if you choose a child that is requesting a clothing or footwear item that you provide a gift receipt.

Please return all gifts by Sunday, Dec. 12 by 11AM.

Youth Group

Youth Group will meet Sunday, Dec. 5, 11AM. All 6th-12th graders are encouraged to attend. Please also keep your eyes and ears open for upcoming information regarding a Christmas party.

May God bless you as we ring in2022!

Blessings, Melissa Fickes-Feeney
