Celebrate Advent and Christmas with St. Matthew Lutheran Church Moorestown

Advent devotion books

This year we have a booklet called “Let Your Light Shine” that includes a prayer for each day of the season. There are also a variety of family devotional resources to use with children to help be prepared for Christmas. The family materials are available through Sunday School and in the church office.

Plan to attend the festive OWLS Christmas luncheon 12/5 12pm

On Thursday, December 5, 2024, the OWLS will be gathering in the library for their annual Christmas luncheon. Once again, Georgetti’s Market and Catering in Cinnaminson will be supplying the main course. Appetizers, desserts, and the two popular punches will be supplied by the members.

The main course will include baked ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans with garlic and oil, Caesar salad, and bread and butter.

Afterwards, Ruth Fausak and Rozella Bower are collaborating on something special! Finally, Pat Hall will be accompanying us as we enjoy singing traditional Christmas carols together. As always, a collection will be taken for a charity, which will be selected at the luncheon.

A small charge of $10 per person will be collected as you arrive, or you may pay Lynne Ganskopp, treasurer, after Sunday services.

Come and share the spirit of Christmas!

Advent/Christmas crafts 12/8 4-6pm

Hope you have our Advent/Christmas craft event on your calendar. On Sunday, December 8th, from 4–6 p.m., we will be creating fun and beautiful crafts to give as gifts or to decorate your tree. We would like to make extras to deliver to our homebound members. So even if you don’t want one for yourself, you can come out to have fun making one for a homebound member, enjoying snacks and music, and learning how to make beautiful bows. There will be activities for all ages.

Poinsettia sales Deadline is December 15.

Christmas Eve Worship 2020

Greening of the sanctuary 12/22 10:30am

This year, the greening of the sanctuary will take place immediately after the service on December 22. There are tasks for all and, of course, refreshments, so join in as we prepare for Christmas Eve!

We’ll decorate the tree, dress the candle poles with holly, arrange the poinsettias, trim the wreaths, and fill baskets with greens. It’s going to be a busy place, so we hope everyone will stay and enjoy the fun!

If your trees need trimming, we always need holly and greens for the baskets. Clippers and comfortable clothes are also suggested.
