Our Partnership at Work
The week of July 12 was the mission trip week to Bridge of Peace by Our Savior Lutheran Church in Haddonfield. Each early morning, youth and adults gathered at Bridge of Peace to work throughout the campus. The landscape was overrun and is now renewed. Some ceiling issues are now repaired. Electrical problems solved. Office and closets were given a facelift. Many thanks to SMLC for providing morning snacks and lunches, Subway on Monday, and homemade pasta salad on Tuesday. Please check out the many photos on the Bridge of Peace Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BoPChurch
Food Pantry and Peace Center
Remains open weekly during COVID. Many families are served each week. Please consider making a special donation to SMLC, mark “BOP FOOD PANTRY” in your check memo.
Youth Group (YG)
June was the end of the school year for the Tuesday evening YG. Our Fellowship Hall, where our YG meets, located in the lower level of the Education Building, has been condemned for mold. The cost will be about $50,000. Please contact the NJ Synod, if you would like to help. If COVID restrictions permit, the plan is to resume weekly Tuesday evening YG in-person starting mid-October meeting in the Parsonage/Office. Pastor Giselle will reach out to Pastor Eric about our traditional combined youth confirmand Discovery Day in the Fall and Christmas gathering the 2nd Tuesday in December. Stay tuned for more information, here in our Messenger and follow Bridge of Peace on their Facebook page.

In June we resumed in-person worship with Holy Communion and have continued our Facebook Live Stream at 10am each Sunday. We have said goodbye to our worship team member, Ken, who has moved to California. Our worship team Matt and Anthony welcome our new keyboardist, Herb. SMLC continues in our prayers as our Mission Partnership is a blessing.
