American Red Cross Blood Drive April 1

A few days ago, I heard on the radio that the United States has the lowest blood supply in ten years. Many who need blood to heal, and to live simply cannot get it. The need is constant.

We’re here to help! From 2pm to 7pm, on April 1, SMLC is hosting a Red Cross blood drive.

To those of you who have donated in the past, thank you for your contribution of time and blood!! Please return for a new donation as soon as you are eligible. If you have never donated before, this is a great time to start. It’s safe and easy. Sign up today.

The Red Cross is giving out Super Cool Tee shirts (while supplies last) so sign up for an early time to get your tee. Also, please be patient with the understaffed and overworked Red Cross workers. They are working as hard and as fast as they can to safely collect blood.

Special thanks to all of you who have donated in the past! In January we had an amazing turn out and exceeded our goal, collecting over 30 pints of blood, which can help over 90 recipients.

Even if you can’t donate blood you can still help. Contact Denise Cole if you would like to help make calls and schedule donors.
