12/5 Older Wiser Lutheran Seniors (OWLS)

Thurs. Dec. 5 Noon Sign up for Christmas Luncheon on bulletin board The OWLS will gather for their Annual Holiday Luncheon in Fellowship Hall. Again this year, Georgetti’s Market and Catering in Cinnaminson will be supplying the main course of baked ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans with garlic/oil, Caesar salad, and bread & butter. Appetizers, desserts, and the famous punches will be supplied by the committee. A charge of $10 per person will be collected at the door. Happily, Pat Hall will again provide piano accompaniment for our singing of traditional Christmas carols. As always, a collection will be taken for two or three charities to be selected during the luncheon. Please sign-up on the attend- ance sheets pinned to the bulletin board to help the committee determine the number of dinners to be ordered. For more info, see Sue Kuhn.

12/7 Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Saturday, December 7, Noon-3pm 30 Irvin Avenue, Collingswood, NJ A community Event that supports the Perkin’s Center Scholarship fund and the Food Pantries of Oaklyn and Moorestown This year, Perkins Center for the Arts has chosen two, independent food pantries to be the financial recipients of our Empty Bowls Fundraiser. Perkins Empty Bowls 2019 has selected the Oaklyn Food Pantry (Camden County) and the Moorestown Food Pantry (Burlington County) to receive funds. Representatives from both pantries are invited to be onsite at the event and share information about their services. Join us! Purchase one or more artist-created and donated, handmade bowls and enjoy a delicious, simple meal donated by one of our caring, community restaurant partners. A bowl and the meal are provided in exchange for a minimum donation of $15. For more info, contact Kahra Buss.

12/10 St. Matthew Roller Skating Christmas Celebration

Tues., Dec. 10, 6:30-8:30pm at Cherry Hill Skating Center. You are invited to attend the Roller Skating Christmas Celebration with folks from SMLC, Bridge of Peace, Troop 42 and all 10 mission partner churches. This event was a huge success last year. We sponsor the cost of the rink rental, skates, food and arcade tokens for all of us from SMLC and Bridge of Peace. If you would like to be a sponsor; make your check payable to St. Matthew, with “Xmas Skating” in the memo.

Thursday, Dec. 12, A food ministry which provides a cold lunch, once per month to the patrons of Cathedral Kitchen in Camden) Drop off your baked goodies (on a paper plate) and drop it off outside the office.
