Sunday October 9th and 16th How To Relate To Those Who Are Suffering
On Sundays October 9th and 16th the Stephen Ministry Team of our church will lead a program based upon the theme How To Relate To Those Who Are Suffering. The event will begin at 9:15 a.m.
No one wants to do or say anything which will further burden someone who is struggling. Kenneth Haugk, Ph. D., founder of Stephen Ministries, St. Louis, Lutheran minister, and clinical psychologist, has written a book called “Don’t Sing Songs To A Heavy Heart”, which gives practical examples and specific suggestions about helping someone who is in pain. We will discuss his important insights gleaned after four years of thorough research with 4,252 people who had known suffering in their lives.
