Adult Forum: Talking About Racism
The Anti-racism/Diversity/Equity/Inclusion group will show a couple of short videos and have a discussion time for each. The selected videos are intended to help focus attention on certain aspects of the difficult issues of racism and D/E/I and to give a framework for having a productive dialog.
Youth Group
All youth grades 6-12 and parents are invited to our monthly youth group meeting.
Children’s Music Activity
Cantor Dave, using chimes, will prepare for children in grades 4-6. Meet in the choir room.

Nov 14 – Making Decorations for the Giving Tree
As we move towards the holiday season, this year we will return to having a Giving Tree. We will decorate the ornament tags for the tree. This is a service activity that everyone can participate in!

Nov 21 – Intergenerational Activity: Underground Railroad
Part of the yearlong project of the New Jersey Synod is for all of us to become learn more about Pastor Jehu Jones and the history of our African American brothers and sisters As part of this project, each congregation of in the Synod has the opportunity to contribute a quilt square which will be part a quilt from around the synod. During activity time this week we will learn of the connections between quilts and the Underground Railroad.
Join Pastor Peggy as we discuss the use of not of such patterns as “Wagon Wheel,” Tumbling Blocks” and “Bear’s Paw” to direct slaves to freedom. Come and experience finding “home” yourselves using the code.

Nov 28 – Intergenerational Activity: Make an Advent Wreath
Start off your Advent season by making an Advent wreath to use in your home this year. Materials and instruction will be provided for you to make your own wreath that you can take home. Please sign-up ahead of time with the church office so that we know how much of the materials to purchase. Lorraine Horton will be the host/coordinator for this event. Since we need to order supplies, please RSVP to Lorraine Horton or the office.
