As you know this program year we’ve been prayerfully and financially supporting two mission partners; Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) and New Jersey Farmers Against Hunger. All weekly offerings collected from the Sunday school and Adult Forums are equally shared by these two missions.
Young Adults in Global Mission
There are young adults serving worldwide in global mission. Several years ago a son of our congregation, Andrew Steele served in South Africa. This year we are supporting Pastor Kristin Engstrom and the seven YAGM’s she supervises in Senegal, West Africa. Berkley, Casey, Kristian, Grace, Mercedes, Hannah and Lily are serving in various locals throughout that country. New Jersey Farmers Against Hunger
This is an organization which strives to preserve and enhance agriculture, farming and related activities and businesses in New Jersey through educational, informational and promotional programs. Through the interaction of our Green Team and its committee chair Brian Lestini, we’ve been made aware of various opportunities to glean crop fields or to sort and pack produce – where all those proceeds are donated to local food banks.
