About Cooper River Indivisible
Cooper River Indivisible (CRI) is a progressive grassroots organization operating throughout Camden County. Originally founded to promote local civic participation, the group has grown into a powerful network of thousands of local residents dedicated to protecting civil rights, supporting vulnerable populations, and building community power.
CRI operates specialized committees targeting critical issues like reproductive rights, education, and immigration. Their Immigration Committee focuses heavily on:
- Direct Mutual Aid: Distributing essential, non-food goods directly to local families in need.
- Rapid Response Support: Standing with local immigrant families facing sudden enforcement overreach or detention crises.
- Public Advocacy: Mobilizing massive regional awareness campaigns and coordinating with state and local officials to enforce constitutional protections.
