A lot happened during the month of May. On May 5th, we had an End of the Sunday School Picnic. Though we were forced indoors, we had so much fun! We had too much food, played games, and enjoyed great fellowship! A huge thank you to Drew and Linda Fennema, for purchasing a copy of Just in Case You Ever Wonder by Max Lucado for every student in Sunday School.
I want to express gratitude for our dedicated Sunday School Teachers; Meghan Campbell, Patricia Covington, Melissa Feeney, Reverend Peggy Marks, and Audra Uhlig. Finally, we give thanks for Costantino Spinosa, our Family Ministries Coordinator, who was a pillar of support to the teachers and students.
Though Sunday School will not meet again until September, Christian Learning Formation hopes to plan kid-friendly events over the summer. Please be on the lookout for those details.
CLF is always looking to include anyone who would like to teach Sunday School; a curriculum that is easy to follow and a rotating schedule to accommodate busy family schedules. If you would like to become a Sunday School teacher or aide, please email Costantino families@stmatthew-lutheran.org.
On May 19th, six children received their First Communion. Congratulations to the Lerch, Lestini, Flothmeier, Cassel, and Rath families.
Also on May 19th, the Confirmation Students put together toiletry bags and birthday kits that will be delivered to the St. Vincent de Paul Society for distribution. A job well done by our young people, and thank you to all that supported this endeavor.
CLF wishes everyone a restful and safe Summer!
