Sunday School Mission Partners
Each year our Sunday school teachers choose two mission partners – one local and one global – to support with your Sunday school financial gifts. Young Adults in Global Mission (an outreach of the ELCA) was chosen as our global partner this year. Pastor Kristin Engstrom is the Country Coordinator for the new Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program in Senegal. In August, six young adults from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America joined her there. These young adults are currently living and serving with our partners in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Senegal and Senegalese Lutheran Development Services. I’ve reached out to her and we are hoping to hear more from Pastor Kristin and her experiences in Senegal, Africa.
Vacation Bible School 2017
This year’s VBS will be held Sunday, July 9 – Thursday, July 13 in the evenings. The curriculum is MIGHTY FORTRESS by Concordia Publishing. We are really very much in need of decorators, leaders aides and chaperones for music, games, story telling, openings and crafts. We need youth and adults to donate only two hours for one night or many. Our first meeting for interested leaders and volunteers is Sunday, February 26th after 11 am service.
