Our sanctuary looked absolutely beautiful, as usual, this Christmas thanks to the help of many people. The decorating began on December 17th, following the Sunday School program, when we joined together to “green the sanctuary”. Everyone then enjoyed the delicious refreshments provided by the Campbell family.
We continued the decorating process and added fresh greens and poinsettias on December 22nd, when a great crew of helpers showed up to make all our efforts go quickly. Thanks to Lynne Ganskopp, Mike Jacobs, George Boehmler, Cindy Arruda, Carol Cathcart, Alice and Dick Graybill, Jana Frable, Joyce Schultz, Barry Grahn, Sue Kuhn, John O’Meara and Pam Bowen for helping to provide the finishing touches.
We would also like to thank the Becker family for the donation of a lovely new flagon for communion wine, which was given in memory of Jeanne Becker. The flagon was dedicated on December 31st and is a perfect reminder of a very special member of our congregational family.
Thank you OWLS for your generous donation of the Ministerium Food Pantry.
At their Christmas luncheon, the OWLS took up a collection for the Moorestown Ministerium Food Pantry and presented us with a check for over $200! We are so grateful for both their support and the support of our St. Matthew congregation. Our pantry runs completely on donations and the financial support allows us to purchase items that are needed to complete bags for our clients.
