A reflection on Diversity, equality, & inclusion by Barbara Duffy
After reading my devotional book this morning, I felt inspired and this is what came from that inspiration.

As you know, we are all different. We vary in skin color, have different personalities, select different clothing, etc. You get the idea. However, one thing we all have in common is the one true God wants us to love and care for one another as he/she loves and cares for us. One way to do that is by learning about our differences and celebrating them.
Pat Covington and I, co-chairs of the DEI Committee, would like to invite everyone to share stories about their ways of doing things in everyday life – from the types of food that are prepared to stories of other traditions. Many of us have similar traditions, but even slight differences are interesting to hear. The meaning of words even change from one culture to another. The details of where the sharing will take place has not been totally worked out, but please think about taking part in this fun venture so that we can learn more about one another and find satisfaction in learning the wide variety of people God has created, even within our own congregation. IN aa few weeks, you will have an opportunity to volunteer. Keep watch in the bulletin for more details.
