Bridge of Peace November Update

St Matthew & Bridge of Peace Youth Christmas Celebration with Mission Partners

This year we start a new tradition. A Christmas Celebration with St. Matthew, Bridge of Peace and all 10 mission partner churches. Please sign up in the foyer. We will all meet at Cherry Hill Skating Center, December 11, 6:30PM for two hours of food, friends and fun roller skating. This will be the first time at a skating rink for most children from Bridge of Peace. In lieu of donating books, as was our tradition, you are welcome to be a sponsor-mark you donation Christmas skating.

Camden Food Pantry

BoP is officially the food pantry open in the Fairview Community of Camden. New Visions Homeless Shelter closed this past summer and end of September the Methodist Church closed its doors. The burden is greater than ever at Bridge of Peace. In early October they served over 100 families in one night. People need food. Please share your bounty.

When you shop for groceries please add these items to your shopping list:

  • pasta and rice
  • cereal
  • powdered milk
  • canned ham, chicken, spam
  • canned veggies

Place donations in foyer on shelves under mailboxes marked “Bridge of Peace Food Pantry”. Items being donated at St Matthew has decreased to food delivery in only 6 times per year now. We previously delivered once or twice per month. They need food every week. We need to deliver food every week, not just Thanksgiving time.
