24th Year of Thanksgiving Baskets

Maintaining St. Matthew’s Tradition of Thanksgiving Baskets for Bridge of Peace

COVID-19 continues to demand flexibility of St. Matthew and it’s ministries. This year St. Matthew will continue its 24-year tradition of providing Thanksgiving baskets to Bridge of Peace, but in a new way that will include more volunteers.

Our goal is to provide Thanksgiving for 75 families. We need (75) $25.00 Walmart gift cards.

Please purchase the gift card yourself rather than donating cash to St. Matthew. It is not possible for one person to purchase gift cards in bulk. These gift cards will help the families purchase their own turkey and pies.

We need 75 shopping bags filled with Thanksgiving “fixins.”

The shopping list of“fixins” is

  • Box of turkey stuffing mix
  • Box/Bag of mashed potato mix
  • Large can of sweet potatoes
  • One can of peas
  • One can of corn
  • 1lb. bag/box of rice
  • One can of cranberry sauce
  • Turkey Gravy – jar or dry mix
  • Dinner mints
