Working Ministry “Committees”
Most ministry groups meet on the first Monday of the month at 7:00PM to plan, lead and encourage the congregation in the following ministries.
Evangelism
This ministry provides opportunities for outreach, support and nourishment of prospective and new members of the congregation. It assigns sponsors for new members, arranges for new member receptions, holds a "Kiddie Carnival" each spring, and aids in assimilating new members into the life of the congregation. The ministry also assists in welcoming visitors and in identifying absent members.

Fellowship and Parish Life
This ministry determines specific needs for programs and events in the congregation. It enlists and coordinates members to organize, staff and support them and encourages participation. Events have included Fastnacht, Octoberfest, Valentine Wine and Cheese tasting, trips to the Phillies’ games, an Advent evening and a church picnic.
Spiritual Life
This ministry provides opportunities for members of the congregation to strengthen their faith and minister to others in caring ways. Cards and notes are sent to those who are ill or have lost a family member or have other special needs.
Stewardship
On a year round basis, this ministry emphasizes the Biblical teachings of stewardship. Members of the congregation are encouraged to pledge their resources of time, talent and treasure. Yearly compaigns are conducted through this ministry to secure financial commitments and to recruit talents and service to the church.
Worship and Music
In cooperation with the Cantor and the Pastor, this ministry reviews the worship and music program of our congregation. Special worship presentations are scheduled at various times. The ministry also identifies and recruits worship service assistants. These assistants include our choirs (described elsewhere on this web site), communion assistants, readers, ushers, acolytes, crucifers, nursery care helpers and Altar Guild members. Special worship services are planned for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Wednesday evenings in Lent, Holy Week and Easter.
Youth & Family
This ministry provides opportunities for growth in commitment to Christ through Bible study, Lutheran theology, education and discussion of issues in our world.
