Social Concerns
This ministry flows from the congregation’s concern for the poor, the vulnerable and the voiceless in our society.
Hosting homeless families - Interfaith Hospitality Network of Burlington County
Every 3 or 4 months we provide one week of food, housing and other services to homeless families in the county. Members of the congregation volunteer for providing food, staying overnight and helping in various other ways.
Lunch Bunch
Volunteers meet once a month to prepare 200 lunches for a day shelter for homeless people in Camden.
Appalachia Service Project
Members and friends of the congregation spend a week in Appalachia in the summer to help with home repairs for those lacking resources. See photo!
The Lutheran Home at Moorestown – We contribute in dollars and time to this care facility, mainly for the elderly
Rainbow of Hope, Burlington County – We support the work to encourage and empower single mothers in Burlington County
CROP Walk – We raise funds and walk to diminish hunger. This year's Moorestown area Crop Walk is Sunday May 4th. Please prayerfully consider how you can help.
Habitat for Humanity – We work to build homes and empower people with this organization.
Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development – We help in the work of providing affordable housing in Moorestown
Red Cross – We hold blood drives
Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey – We have recently sponsored a refugee family from the Sudan
