Fellowship Groups and Events

This ministry determines specific needs for programs and events in the congregation. Events have included Fastnacht, Octoberfest, Valentine Wine and Cheese tasting, an Advent evening Kiddie Carnival and a church picnic.

50+ OWLS (Older Wiser Lutheran Seniors)
Members and friends of Saint Matthew Church meet once a month for programs or activities and fellowship. Occasionally, bus trips are scheduled.

WELCA (Women of the Evanglical Lutheran Church in America)
Women of the church hold meetings or events monthly for information and fellowship. There are two circles which meet monthly - one in the daytime and one in the evening. The group also sponsors a Christmas dinner and summer picnics for children in churches in Camden.

Tuesday Morning Maintenance
This group spends most of its time working on the church building, but takes breaks for fellowship.  Retired members volunteer their time on Tuesday mornings to work on tasks around the church which might include painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs.

Youth Fellowship
Involves youth in middle school and high school at various times for special activities as scheduled. Youth Group meets every Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:30 PM with a light dinner at 6PM. See the Youth Schedule
